In today’s market there are new and varied means of financing distressed properties - of which many consumers are unaware. This course will help Realtors® and consumers identify various types of distressed properties and understand the specific programs that are available to help them purchase distressed real estate while allowing for the renovations that will make the property habitable. At course completion, students will understand how they can offer FHA VA and/or conventional financing on virtually any property, regardless of condition, to allow more buyers to purchase homes that might previously have been out of reach due to lack of adequate financing that includes the necessary repairs, inspections, contractor bids, appraisals, etc.

John Adams
Who is John Adams? Find more at www.johnadamsteam.com...  Renovation Loan originator John Adams is a top national performer in the renovation and VA loans. John started in the mortgage business in 2003 and in 2008 the housing collapse was stronger in Florida than most markets. While many originators were getting out of the business after the mortgage collapse, John was actually refueled by the down housing market and his experience with restoring older homes as a hobby. He dove into renovation loans and found a passion for serving the real estate community as a mortgage loan officer who likes to spread the word of possibilities through teaching.

A $10 fee will be assessed for class cancellations not received at least 24 hours before the start of class time. Cancellations must be completed through the Member Portal or by emailing education@tamparealtors.org.
